24/8's Coaches code of Conduct and Expectations

Purpose

The purpose of this code of conduct is to outline the expectations for coaches at 24/8 Basketball Academy, ensuring a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all athletes and their families. Coaches play a vital role in shaping the experience of players and their interactions with parents.

Core Values

Expectations for Coaches

2. Player Development

  • Focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

3. Communication with Parents

24/8's Parents/Guardians code of Conduct and Expectations

Purpose

The purpose of this code of conduct is to establish expectations for parents that promote a positive and supportive environment for our young athletes. Your behavior on and off the court plays a vital role in shaping your child's experience and development in the sport.

On the Court

Supportive Behavior:

*Cheer for all players, regardless of the team. Positive encouragement helps build confidence.

*Respect the decisions of coaches and referees, and refrain from shouting instructions during games.


Encourage Participation:

*Foster a love of the game by encouraging your child to participate and try their best, regardless of the outcome.


Positive Communication:

*Communicate with coaches respectfully regarding any concerns. Schedule a time to discuss issues privately rather than during games or practices.

Off the Court

Model Good Sportsmanship:

*Demonstrate respect towards all players, coaches, officials, and other parents. Your behavior sets an example for your child.


Promote Team Spirit:

*Engage with other parents and support the team as a community. Attend games and events to show your support.

24/8's Player code of Conduct and Expectations

The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to promote a positive, respectful, and competitive environment that enhances the experience for all players, coaches, and supporters. Each player is expected to uphold the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and integrity.

  • Responsibility: Be accountable for your actions and contributions to the team.
  • Integrity: Display honesty and uphold the rules of the game both on and off the court.
